She's Out of My League

Have you ever talked to your friend about a member of the opposite sex, only to hear the following: "Forget it!  He/she is out of your league".  What is this "league" that people speak of?  As far as I'm concerned, the only leagues that exist refer to sports and not genders.  You see, these "leagues" are actually categories which people segregate themselves into based upon certain traits and qualities generally perceived to be attractive, intelligent, etc.  These mental creations are dangerous because they can damage our self esteem and ultimately cause us not to pursue something we otherwise would have.  Thus, we must ELIMINATE THE IDEA THAT ANYONE IS "OUT OF OUR LEAGUE" FROM OUR THOUGHT PROCESSES.  Why would you throw the towel in before the match has even begun?

This is a very interesting point, in all matters we some how decide to seek confirmation (rather, confidence) from others when in fact it comes from within. I have been at that point where friends have said, "she's out if your league" and I have given up before trying. The fact is, we seem to do this with many (if not all) matters, i.e would I be able to obtain that career? Would I be able to obtain a degree? Or in my case started from GCSE's... Because I was born with severe dyslexia I was told I was not capable of many things, in fact a teacher would tell be to become physically strong as labour jobs are all what I am capable of doing, when I asked the careers teacher that I wanted to have a job in the city wearing a suit.... I'd love to hear that teachers response to my current role, working in a suit as Senior Management to a World renowned financial institution, reading and executing policies and procedures for a living earning close to a three figure salary.
Anyone can do anything and achieve it by simply having the burning dersire within them and more importantly going for it! I now live in a home I had only dreamt of, with the wife many friends had told me many years ago, "she's out of your league" but I went for the chance anyway, because I had that burning desire and went for it, what happens after that, happens, but at least I went for it. Why not live our lives in this way, so we have on our grave stones, 'Although failed in many things... He got up and changed his approach... Therefore became successful in everything'

How right you are ..... the important thing is to trust yourself and be confident that you can achieve anything in life, from a job or a great love that we ever thought so. The important thing is inside the body is just a wrapper
