I believe work is an important element of life. It is an opportunity to serve and add value to others. We can provide people with valuable products and/or services, ideally based on our knowledge and experiences. Providing people with value enhances their lives, therefore enhancing society as a whole.
Good or worthwhile work provides people with value in their lives. It makes their lives better than it was before. Money is the exchange for that value, the gratitude, the returning of the favor for the goods delivered and/or the services rendered.
People work in order to make money and be able to provide for themselves and their families. Having a job that pays enough money to support the lifestyle that the person wants is also an important element of work.
Working gives value, importance and meaning to someone’s life. A sense of purpose. And pride. A sense of responsibility. And independence. In exchange for the value the person provides through their work, they are compensated somehow – financially, with gratitude, a combination of the two, etc.
Work should be a fun and worthwhile experience. Work should be fulfilling to the person, and should allow that person to grow, expand their skillsets, and ideally utilize their prior experiences.
